Living Environment and Lifestyle Factors May Accelerate Biological Ageing Already in Early Adulthood
Researchers from the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences at the University of Jyvaskyla, Finland, found that biological ageing may accelerate already in early adulthood. In addition to lifestyle factors, environmental exposures and living environment may contribute to faster biological ageing. In the study, childhood and adolescent lifestyle and environmental exposures explained approximately 28% of the variation in biological age at the age of 22.
